Earlier, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky commented on the reaction of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to the Report of the UN Commissioner for Human Rights, which focuses on the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The deputy claims that the UOC is being used to test the mechanisms of defeating the rights of civil society, which will later be used on other social groups.
“It was the biggest dehumanization campaign” - philosopher Baumeister on the persecution of the UOC

Ukrainian philosopher, Doctor of Philosophy Andriy Baumeister commented on the changing political situation in the world and the impact of this process on the future of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He noted that the Ukrainian authorities, having launched the persecution of the UOC, have organized the largest dehumanization campaign in the 21st century, as millions of citizens of the country have been officially labeled “wrong Ukrainians.” He said this in an interview on the YouTube channel of journalist Oleksandr Shelest.
“The most disgusting dehumanization of the 21st century was taking place before our eyes. This was happening in our country with the approval of activists and with the direct assistance of Bankova Street. The Americans, I mean the Republican side, kept pointing this out to us, but we ignored it. In the end, in Munich, Vance explicitly hinted at this, comparing Zelensky’s policy to that of the Soviet Union. He was not only addressing Europeans, but, of course, everyone recognized the image of Ukraine-when you are told what to believe, what to say, what to think, etc.” — the philosopher said.
Baumeister added that due to the changes in global politics, Ukraine will inevitably face changes as well. The arrival of a new government, which will happen sooner or later, will ease the pressure on the Church.
“The declaration of a multi-million part of Ukraine as practically not Ukrainians, or wrong Ukrainians, is an unprecedented part of the history of the 21st century. And the fact that this is happening in our country imposes a double responsibility on everyone: how to get out of this situation, this human, cultural, civilizational shame. The persecution of the Church has played a fatal role in the events that are taking place today and has become a key link in the deep crisis in which the state is now. The position of a short-sighted representative of the elite with limited intellectual abilities is that he cannot think in terms of cause and effect. This is a clear sign of a weak intellect when a person does not understand that sooner or later he or she will have to answer for certain actions,” — he added.
