UOC community seized of real estate in Rivne region

The head of the Bugryn community, Serhiy Pylypchuk, said that on March 5, 2025, an act of acceptance and transfer of real estate, which had long been owned by the local Holy Ascension religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, was signed. These are premises that have been converted for the religious needs of believers, as well as a land plot of 0.30 hectares. This was reported by the website Rivne Vecherne.
“According to the decision of the Northwestern Economic Court of Appeal of February 5, 2025, the Bugryn village council was returned the communal property, which had long been used by the religious community of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in Bugryn village without title documents, as well as a land plot of 1.5 thousand square meters,” the Rivne Vecherne website reports. Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to sue the premises of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church church in honor of St. Ilya Muromets, located on the territory of a military hospital in Dnipro. Several years ago, the hospital management restricted the religious community’s access to the church.
