Epiphany Dumenko met with the head of Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration

On March 20, 2025, the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, met with the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration, Serhiy Tyurin. Dumenko and Tyurin, in the presence of an adviser to the head of the SBU and the head of the Khmelnytsky Diocese of the OCU, discussed a number of topics of common interest. This was reported by the organization’s official website.
It is reported that the parties “discussed the life of the Khmelnytsky region and Ukraine as a whole in the context of a full-scale Russian invasion, in particular the issue of support and assistance to internally displaced persons, a significant number of whom have found refuge in the Khmelnytsky region. The parties also discussed the implementation of various social initiatives aimed at supporting the most vulnerable segments of the population. Special attention was paid to the religious and interfaith situation in the region, as well as the role of the Church in supporting the spiritual and moral spirit of the Ukrainian people.”
“Every Ukrainian contributes to the development of our country. But to preserve our national identity and strengthen Ukraine, we need spiritual unity. Without a strong, united Church that unites the Ukrainian people in love for God and the Motherland, it is difficult to build a strong Ukraine,” — Dumenko emphasized.
Earlier, Inna Mikhailova, Director of the Department of Information, Culture and Religions of the Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration, reported that the authorities managed to “transfer” about 300 religious communities from the UOC to the OCU in Khmelnytsky region.
