Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine formed a special commission to “check the relics” of the Kyiv Caves Saints, who rest in the Holy Dormition Kyiv Caves Monastery. It is not known what kind of “inspection” the commission will conduct, since, according to the Ministry, the results of its work will be classified.
Ministry of Culture commission comes to Lavra to “audit” relics of Kyiv Cave Monks
On March 25, 2025, a commission of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine arrived at the territory of the “Lower” Kyiv Cave Monastery to conduct an “audit” of the holy relics of the Kyiv Cave Monks. A group of people representing the commission gathered at the entrance to the Near Caves of the Lavra. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Cave Monastery of the UOC.
“Since morning, the situation near the caves has been calm. The brethren and lawyers of the Holy Pechersk Monastery are constantly present at the site,” — the press service of the Lavra wrote, publishing the corresponding video.
