Cherkasy court continues consideration of case against Metropolitan Theodosius

On March 25, 2025, the Sosnovsky District Court of Cherkasy held a regular hearing in one of the criminal cases brought against the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv. This time, the court examined the video of searches conducted by the SSU in the bishop’s home. This was reported by the regional publication Vycherpno.

It is reported that the meeting watched a video of the searches in the apartment of Metropolitan Feodosiy, which took place on February 16, 2023. The court banned the participants in the trial from taking photos and videos. However, the video shows that a computer for administering the website of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC was found at Metropolitan Theodosius’ home. The next meeting will be held on April 10 at 11:00.

We recall that on March 18, 2025, the Sosnovsky District Court of Cherkasy held a regular court hearing in one of the cases brought against the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv. The court took into account the opinion of the defense and released the bishop from serving nightly house arrest, releasing him on his own recognizance.
