Kirovohrad RSA tells about the ratio of UOC and OCU communities in region

The Kirovohrad Regional State Administration reported on the number of communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the OCU registered in the region. According to the published data, despite the pressure from the state, the canonical Church retains a leading position in the number of active communities in the region, which is actually twice as many as the OCU. This is reported by Suspilne.Kropyvnytskyi.

It is reported that since 2022, only 15 communities in the Kirovohrad region have been re-registered from the UOC to the OCU. In turn, since the beginning of 2025, there has been no transfer from the UOC to the OCU.

“Today, there are 281 communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and 149 communities of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the region,” — said Vitaliy Lastiy, head of the regional public relations department.

Earlier, the Poltava Regional State Administration published information on the number of parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that changed their jurisdictional affiliation, giving preference to the OCU. Since 2022, according to the Poltava Regional State Administration, only 15 parishes of the UOC have been transferred to the OCU.
