"Master classes and concerts": The “reserve” announces folk festivities in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for Easter

The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Conservation Area has announced a series of secular events to be held on the territory of the monastery on the day of the Resurrection of Christ, April 20. Among them are master classes, concerts and excursions. This is reported on the Facebook page of the “reserve”.
It is reported that on Easter Day, the monastery will host a master class “Creating unique Easter eggs using the decoupage technique” and a concert of kobzars and lyre players under the Lavra chestnuts. In addition, thematic excursions will take place on the territory of the monastery. Also announced is the “Blessing of Easter cakes”, which will be performed by representatives of the OCU in the Lavra Church of the Monks Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves.
Earlier, we reported that the oldest Orthodox church in Kyiv, known as the Savior on Berestov, will be opened as a museum with paid tours. Previously, this church was often used for its intended purpose, and priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church held services there. However, now, due to the fact that the church is under the jurisdiction of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, access to the clergy is closed.
