Earlier, we reported that interest in religion among young people aged 18 to 24 has sharply declined in Ukraine. As of 2024, only 52% of Ukrainians in this age group are interested in religion, which is almost a third less than older people.
A sharp surge in the number of adult baptisms in the RCC is recorded in France
The Roman Catholic dioceses of France have recorded a sharp increase in the number of adult baptisms among the French and a general increase in interest in Catholicism. In this regard, the dioceses of the Paris region even convened a “local” council to consider the situation and shape the development of the right approach to what is happening. This was reported by Vatican News.
It is reported that in connection with the surge in the number of adult baptisms in France, the local dioceses of the RCC plan to expand the program for receiving converts to the church. It is planned, first of all, to investigate how a particular convert became interested in the faith, and, for the convenience of neophytes, a catechetical program will be developed to help them gain a foothold in the church.
