Metropolitan Longinus Zhar hospitalized again

On April 23, 2025, the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Longinus (Zhar) of Bancheny, was subjected to emergency hospitalization. It is not reported what exactly caused the bishop to be hospitalized. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Bancheny Monastery.

“Metropolitan Longin was hospitalized. We ask for your holy prayers,” — the Bancheny Monastery of the UOC reported.

As reported earlier, on February 19, 2024, Metropolitan Longin of Banceni underwent heart surgery in a Romanian clinic.
