In the U.S., a committee to eradicate anti-Christian bias in government has been formed

On April 22, 2025, the first meeting of the Committee to Eliminate Anti-Christian Bias in the Federal Government was held in Washington, D.C., with the participation of U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi. The task force, created by President Trump in accordance with Executive Order 14202, was joined by civilian Christian Americans who have been unfairly attacked by the Biden administration because of their religious beliefs. This is reported by the official website of the US Department of Justice.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has raised several issues related to allegations of bias, in particular against Christian members of the diplomatic service who prefer to educate their children at home. In one case, a family was threatened with child abuse investigations and redundancy if they insisted on homeschooling. In another case, a family was referred to the IRS and threatened with prosecution and an investigation by Inspector General Biden for insisting on homeschooling their son.
He described how State Department employees have been vilified for opposing the COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds, including being called “murderers” and “troublemakers.” In one case, the ambassador yelled at a staffer, accusing him of wanting to kill the ambassador’s mother, despite the fact that she had returned to the United States.
Other reports referred to staff members being harassed for opposing DEI/LGBT ideology that violated their religious conscience. Staff members described being required to promote LGBT programs while serving overseas, even in countries where such activities were a blatant violation of acceptable religious beliefs and practices. He also detailed allegations that offices and programs dealing with religious freedom issues were sidelined if they did not promote DEI-related programs.
He also described how Christian holidays at U.S. embassies under the Biden administration were often stripped of their religious connotations, and non-Christian religious holidays such as Losar, Eid, or Ramadan used appropriate names and greetings.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. described how the previous administration ordered St. Francis Health System in Oklahoma to extinguish a candle in the sanctuary or lose the ability to treat patients under Medicare, Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program. He also spoke about the progressive rules introduced under the Biden administration that make it more difficult for Christians to become foster parents.
Secretary of Education Linda McMahon spoke about how Oregon educators Katie Medart and Rachel Sager were suspended and fired for creating the I Decide movement. The movement’s members talked about the policy of gender identity education and offered solutions on how teachers can teach without violating their conscience and respecting the rights of parents.
In addition, officials in the Skaneateles Central School District in New York City began to identify a middle school girl as a boy without her mother’s knowledge or consent, violating their religious freedoms as parents.
Deputy Treasury Secretary Michael Faulkender spoke about financial surveillance under the Biden administration, including how the IRS previously stripped Christian and pro-life organizations of certain tax classifications, the Treasury Department’s lack of involvement in protecting organizations from de-banking, and FinCEN’s designation of some pro-Christian groups as “hate groups.”
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins spoke about the actions taken by the VA to stop the speech code that the previous administration used to punish Chaplain Truby of the Coatesville VA Medical Center for carrying out his duties and preaching from the Bible.
Domestic Policy Council Director Vince Haley spoke about how previous Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden helped lead and coordinate the Biden administration’s efforts to instill radical and anti-Christian gender ideology in children in classrooms, foster care, sports, and health care.
“As today’s stories of our victims show, the Biden Justice Department mistreated peaceful Christians while ignoring violent anti-Christian crimes. Thanks to President Trump, we have put an end to these abuses and will continue to work closely with every member of this task force to protect the right of every American to speak and worship freely,” – said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
Earlier we reported that Mark Walker became the new United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. He was nominated for this position by Donald Trump last week.
