Robert Amsterdam threatens the Ukrainian government with retaliatory measures in case of a complete ban on the UOC

The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said he was ready to take legal action if the Ukrainian government continues to put pressure on the UOC. The lawyer wrote about this in his account on the social network X.

“The Ukrainian government has announced new measures against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. If they continue their unjustified campaign, we will use all available means to convey this information to stakeholders committed to religious freedom and the rule of law,” — the lawyer wrote.

As reported earlier, the U.S. State Department is preparing to impose personal sanctions against Ukrainian MPs and officials who initiated the process of banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by adopting the scandalous Law 3894.
