Peace talks between Russia and Ukraine may take place in Vatican, - Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump believes that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine could take place in the Vatican. The head of the White House is convinced that both Russia and Ukraine are interested in ending the war. He wrote about this on his account on the social network Truth.

“I just finished my two-hour conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I think it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately begin negotiations on a ceasefire and, more importantly, on the end of the war. The conditions for this will be discussed between the two sides, as they can be, because they know the details of the negotiations that no one else knows. […] The Vatican, represented by the Pope, has stated that it would be very interested in holding negotiations. Let the process begin!”, — Trump wrote.

Earlier, the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Pietro Parolin, said that the newly elected Pope Leo XIV plans to offer the Vatican as a platform for direct dialogue between representatives of Russia and Ukraine.
