OCU supporters seize another UOC church in Bukovina

On May 21, 2024, supporters of the OCU raided the church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva in the village of Ust-Putyla, Chernivtsi region. According to eyewitnesses, the raiders were assisted by police officers. This was reported by the First Cossack Telegram channel.
“According to our information, militants hired by the OCU from Ivano-Frankivsk region were brought to storm the shrine. A lot of police are present at the site. According to reports from the scene, the security forces are openly covering the raiders and their militants. The seizure of the ancient church is led by the former director of the forestry Petro Trey. According to media reports, the meeting was not announced, and the actual members of the UOC religious communities did not take part in the events.
