One month after the takeover, the OCU announced religious events at the St. Andrew's Church of the UOC in Cherkasy

In Cherkasy, the first «service» will take place at the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called on the street after the OCU takeover of the building. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, at 9:00 AM. This was reported by the local media outlet «18000.»
According to the press service of the OCU, «the hierarchal Divine Liturgy will be led by Metropolitan Ioan of Cherkasy and Chyhyryn.» Believers are invited to join the event, «which will take place in the Ukrainian language for the first time in this church.»
Recall that the international human rights organization Public Advocacy commented on the situation in Cherkasy, where local authorities together with police and OCU activists took part in the forcible seizure of the St. Andrew’s Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
