The head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is on the list of religious leaders whom Ukrainians trust the most

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine is among the religious leaders whom Ukrainians trust the most. This conclusion was reached by experts from the Center for Social and Marketing Research “SOCIS” after conducting a corresponding opinion poll. This was reported by the publication “Livy Bereg.”

It is reported that the three religious leaders with the highest level of trust among Ukrainians include the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as well as the heads of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Thus, the level of trust in Epiphany Dumenko is 19.7% (20.5% tend to trust him), Sviatoslav Shevchuk – 13.9% (18.3%), and Metropolitan Onufriy – 10.2% (12.8%). At the same time, the level of distrust in them is as follows: the head of the OCU – 16.4%, the head of the UGCC – 16.8%, the Primate of the UOC – 28.7%.

In addition, the list also includes non-Ukrainian religious leaders: Pope Leo XIV has a trust rating of 10.5% (20.8% tend to trust him), and Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople – 10.9% (17.3%).

At the same time, 34.7% of respondents believe that the activities of the UOC should be banned, 31.7% believe that it should be left alone and not interfered with, and 10.8% propose merging it with the OCU.
