“Discussed care for Ukrainian refugees”: Head of the OCU held a meeting with the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland

On July 22, 2025, the head of the OCU, Epiphanius Dumenko, met with Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Poland. The parties discussed possible cooperation, in particular, the care of Ukrainian refugees in Poland. This was reported on the official website of the OCU.
“During the conversation, the parties discussed the socio-political situation in Ukraine and the world, international advocacy to strengthen support for our state in the context of Russian aggression, as well as support abroad for Ukrainian internally displaced persons and other topical issues of mutual interest,” – the statement said.
We previously reported that the OCU continues to violate its own Tomos by interfering in the canonical territory of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. This time, despite the Tomos’ ban on the OCU’s activities abroad, on February 9, 2025, the head of the Rivne Diocese of the OCU, Ilarion Protsyk, visited Warsaw, where he performed religious services that were clearly not agreed upon with the PAOC. It is also worth noting that a representative of the local diocese of the Roman Catholic Church participated in the event.
