Dumenko announced his readiness to meet with Metropolitan Onufriy

The head of the OCU, Epiphaniy Dumenko, has declared his readiness to meet with the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine. Dumenko claims that he has not met with Metropolitan Onufry for the past two years, since the Primate of the UOC, who has been effectively isolated from public life by the country’s leadership, “does not attend state events.” Dumenko’s words are reported by INKORR.

«We are always ready to meet, but we expect that it will soon be seven years since the Tomos of Autocephaly was received. We have made many different appeals. At first, we even met and crossed paths with Metropolitan Onufriy at various state events, but now he does not participate in any state events. And so, over the past two years, we have not crossed paths with him even once,» — Dumenko said.

Earlier, we reported that the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, called the Ukrainian Orthodox Church “uncanonical” and “spiritually harmful.” At the same time, the leader of the Ukrainian schism again called on the UOC to start a dialogue with the OCU without preconditions. In addition, Dumenko accused the UOC of “forcibly” preventing its communities from “transferring” to the OCU.
