Earlier, we reported that the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, called the Ukrainian Orthodox Church “uncanonical” and “spiritually harmful.” At the same time, the leader of the Ukrainian schism again called on the UOC to start a dialogue with the OCU without preconditions. In addition, Dumenko accused the UOC of “forcibly” preventing its communities from “transferring” to the OCU.
Dumenko stated that there are many “figures” in the UOC who are not ready to be accepted into the OCU

The head of the OCU, Epiphanius Dumenko, stated that many hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will not be accepted into the OCU because they have an extremely radical position on the Ukrainian schism. He stated this in an interview with the TSN television channel.
“We have confirmed our desire for unity and dialogue. Unfortunately, we have not received any response, not a single word from them. And we will not receive one, because, as far as we can hear from within, they do not want to recognize our subjectivity as such. […] We see that there are many figures, many bishops, who do not see themselves and we do not see them in the Ukrainian church. This is their conviction and their ideology, and they will be devoted to it to the end,” – Dumenko said.
