Another earthquake struck Mount Athos

On the night of August 13, 2025, another earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck Mount Athos. The tremors occurred near the capital of Mount Athos, Karyes. This was reported by The Orthodox Times.
According to data from the seismological station of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, the earthquake was shallow, with its epicenter located 12 kilometers northwest of Karyes.
We will remind you that recently, the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, tried to explain why the organization has not yet managed to build a “Ukrainian cell” on Mount Athos. Dumenko claims that the construction of the OCU cell on Athos is being delayed because the organization is spending all its funds on supporting the Ukrainian army.
