We previously reported that more than half of Ukrainian citizens do not support interference in the internal affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study conducted by the SOCIS Center in June 2025.
The Zhytomyr Regional State Administration reported on the number of UOC parishes that have re-registered in favor of the OCU

Oleksandr Pyvovarskyi, chief specialist of the Department of Cultural Heritage and Religion of the Culture and Tourism Administration of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, spoke about the number of communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that the Regional State Administration managed to re-register in favor of the OCU. According to the official, since 2019, the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration has re-registered 134 communities of the UOC. He spoke about this on the air of Ukrainian Radio Zhytomyr.
«The trend is as follows: in 2019 there were 13 transitions, in 2020 there were 8, in 2021 there was 1 transition, in 2022 there were 36, in 2023 there were 41, in 2024 there were 19, and in 2025, as of August, there were 16 transitions. But in reality, there were many more transitions. The fact is that there are two types of transitions. One type of transition, which is reflected in these statistics, is when there is a change of denomination, a transition of a parish of the UOC in spiritual unity with the Moscow Patriarchate to the OCU,» Pyvovarsky noted.
