The Ukrainian Orthodox Church refuted the fake news about the former president of Moldova being awarded a church order.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has published information that appeared in the media that His Beatitude, the Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, awarded a church award to former Moldovan President Igor Dodon. According to media reports, the Primate of the UOC allegedly awarded the politician with the Order of St. Vladimir, Equal to the Apostles. The UOC called this information false.

“In connection with the appearance in the media of information about the alleged awarding of the Moldovan politician Igor Dodon with the Order of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the office of the Kiev Metropolis reports that this information is false. His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine did not issue any decrees regarding this award. There is no resolution on the aforementioned award in the register of awards of the Kyiv Metropolis,” – the press service of the UOC said.

Earlier, we reported that unknown malicious individuals launched fake advertisements on social media on behalf of representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, calling on people to buy the “miracle drug” ARTOLEAF, which allegedly helps with various diseases. One of those “advertising” the medicine was the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine. The scammers created a deepfake with the Primate of the UOC, who allegedly recommends the drug ARTOLEAF.
