A hierarch of the OCU with a Russian passport criticized anti-mobilization sentiments

The head of the Crimean diocese of the OCU, Klyment Kushch, who is also known for having Russian citizenship, once again lashed out at Ukrainian citizens who oppose the mobilization measures carried out by the TCC and police. He called on people not to evade mobilization, stating that dying on the front lines is much more honorable than dying while fleeing Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Krym Realii.

“We need to change our attitude towards mobilization. The anti-mobilization sentiments that have spread like a malignant tumor throughout Ukraine today are hitting the soldiers who have been fighting in the trenches since 2022 and are waiting for help very hard. As for death, it is everywhere, not only in war. Look how many innocent people have died from these criminal shellings, look how many people have died trying to escape — they died in the Carpathians, drowned in the Tisa… But those who go to the front are doing a good deed, and the Lord said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” They will never die in people’s memories and, most importantly, they will not die in the eyes of God,” – Kushch said.

Earlier, we reported that four hierarchs of the OCU were found to have citizenship of Russia and the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic.” In addition, one of them even wrote a statement saying that he was ready to cooperate with the special services of associations hostile to Ukraine.
