The Economic Court confirmed the legality of transferring the UOC church to the ownership of the PCU in Kremenchuk

on September 15, 2025, the Economic Court of Kyiv confirmed the legality of re-registration of the Holy Dormition religious community of the UOC of Kremenchug in favor of the PCU. In addition, as a consequence, the Holy Dormition Cathedral, which was previously used by the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, is also transferred to the use of the PCU. This is reported by the regional edition of Telegraf.

It is reported that the court granted the claim of the representative of the Holy Assumption religious community of the UOC, who asked to invalidate the decisions of the meeting of the territorial community of Kremenchug, during which a vote was organized for the transition of this legal entity to the PCU. Thus, the decision of the territorial assembly, which actually affected the loss of legal personality of the Holy Assumption religious community of the UOC of Kremenchug, also led to the alienation of the local Holy Assumption Cathedral into the ownership of the PCU community, which was formed during the mentioned event. We shall remind you that on September 13, 2025, representatives of the PCU seized the Holy Protection Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Potiyivka in Zhytomyr region. The process of seizure was supervised by the hierarch of the PCU Volodymyr Shlapak, who broke the church fence to get into the temple.
