Hasidim begin to come to Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah

The traditional Hasidic pilgrimage from Israel to Uman is gaining momentum. As of September 15, several thousand pilgrims have already arrived in the city, and the total number in 2025 promises to exceed 40 thousand people. This is reported by thepage.ua.
According to the organizers, in Uman are actively preparing for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah: checking bomb shelters, buying food, ritual items and books, as well as arranging comfortable conditions for pilgrims. Free water and coffee will be distributed for guests and locals.
In addition, in the city set up roadblocks, which will check passes for access to the quarter where the Hasidim will gather, will begin to operate on September 16.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that the city authorities of Uman, as well as the U.S. and Ukrainian diplomatic missions urge Hasidim not to visit Uman in 2025. The reason given is the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian war. In addition, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel points out that the Israeli authorities have not yet established contacts with the Ukrainian government on this issue.
