Pseudomolfar, who lured money for "removal of spoilage" in social networks, detained in Kiev

According to TSN.ua, a 28-year-old man was detained in Kiev, who, pretending to be a molfar, deceived citizens through social networks, offering to «remove spoilage», find missing relatives and even «cure diseases». For his «magical services» he lured out up to 4.5 thousand hryvnias, and now he faces up to eight years in prison.

According to the police, the fraudster created several fake accounts in social networks, where he positioned himself as a «healer». He actively corresponded with clients, offering to perform various rituals, including cleansing, searching for missing persons or «healing from serious illnesses». The amounts for these «services» ranged from 400 to 4.5 thousand hryvnias.

The scheme of deception was simple: after receiving money on a bank card, the con artist immediately stopped any communication with the victims and blocked them in the network.

Operatives of Dniprovsky police department of Kyiv, together with cyber police and prosecutor’s office, successfully exposed the attacker. During the investigation at least seven episodes of fraud were documented. Other victims are currently being identified. The man has already been reported on suspicion under part 4 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — fraud committed on a large scale, which provides for up to eight years of imprisonment.

We will remind, employees of the security service of Ukraine detained in Kiev chaplain of the AFU (confession is not specified — ed.), who turned out to be an agent of the Main intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation. Before the main mission, the attacker was also engaged in the correction of Russian air attacks on the Ukrainian capital. An agent of Russian military intelligence, who acted under the cover of a chaplain for espionage in the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the AFU, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
