Court on the case of banning the Kyiv Metropolitan Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church postponed again

A court hearing in the case of banning the Kiev Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been postponed again for more than a month. Such a decision of the judges on October 30 was reported to the public by the lawyer of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.

As the lawyer of the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the UOC, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, who participated in today’s preparatory session, stated, the next hearing on the said trial will be held on December 11 at 10:00. The details of what happened today in the courtroom are not yet reported.

We will remind, the day before the Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court of Ukraine rejected the appeal of the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the case of termination of its activities. The court upheld the ruling of the previous instance, which refused to ban the State Service for Ethno-Politics and Freedom of Conscience from taking actions against organizations related to the Kiev Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church while the main lawsuit to ban it is being considered.
