Another priest of the UOC was mobilized in Chernivtsi region

The Chernovtsy-Bukovyna diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has reported another forced mobilization of a clergyman. Employees of the Territorial Completion Center (TCC) detained Archpriest Oleksandr Istratiy, who is the rector of the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Marshyntsi.

According to information provided by the user, the detention of the priest became known on November 19, 2025. The message about it was published on the Facebook-page «Virni Chernivets’ko-Bukovyna diocese of the UOC». At the moment, this is all known information on this case. This incident adds to the list of cases of mobilization of UOC clergy in the region. Details and official comments from the UCC have not yet been received.

We will remind, earlier we reported that in the city of Smela, Cherkassy region, employees of the Territorial Center for staffing and social support (TCC) detained a clergyman of the UOC. Despite the fact that he has a legal basis for deferment from mobilization as a father of many children, he is held in the building of the TSC, refusing to accept supporting documents from his family.
