The Supreme Court opened appeal proceedings on the case of termination of activity of Koretsky nunnery

The Supreme Court of Ukraine has opened appeal proceedings in an administrative case on the forced termination of the activity of the religious organization Koretskyi Holy Trinity Women’s Stavropegial Monastery of the Moscow Patriarchate. The relevant ruling was issued by a panel of judges of the Cassation Administrative Court on November 24, 2025 on the application of the State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience (SESC).
As reported on the official portal of the State Service of Ukraine on Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, appeal proceedings were opened in case No. 855/14/25 (proceeding No. A/990/17/25). The claim was filed by the SES with the requirement to apply measures to secure the claim in the framework of the case on the termination of the monastery.
Recall, earlier we reported that the media established the total number of immovable property owned by Koretskyi Holy Trinity Stavropigial Nunnery of the Russian Orthodox Church, located in Rivne region. Journalists expect that all the property of the monastery will be expropriated by the state after the Holy Trinity Monastery loses its legal registration.
