Another OCU cleric announces transfer to UOC-KP

Dmytro Pedina, a cleric of the Poltava Eparchy of the OCU, announced his transfer to the UOC-KP. He motivated his decision by «spiritual beliefs, as well as the declared autonomy and social activity of the UOC-KP.» He wrote about this on his Facebook account.
It is reported that the cleric of the Poltava diocese of the OCU, Dmitry Pedina, made an official statement about this step on December 18. In his post, he emphasized that the transition is conscious and final. As the key reasons for his decision, the priest highlighted spiritual beliefs, the autonomy of the UOC-KP and its active social position.
He also said that «any ‘bans’ or other deterrent steps» from the OCU hierarchy would be considered invalid and devoid of any canonical force by him and the entire UOC-KP. The post on the social network ended with the phrase: «Goodbye, OCU!».
Earlier we reported that the notorious cleric of the OCU Yaroslav Kulik (Yasenets) publicly announced his withdrawal from this religious structure. The reason for his departure was his categorical disagreement with the course of the head of the organization, Epiphany Dumenko.
