Head of OCU awards Ukraine's Ambassador to Vatican with an order

The head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, awarded Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Vatican and the Order of Malta, Andriy Yurash, with the Order of Archangel Michael. The diplomat reported this on his Facebook page, expressing his deep gratitude for the high award.

According to the diplomat on his Facebook account, the awarding ceremony took place during the visit of the OCU delegation to the Embassy of Ukraine to the Holy See. Andriy Yurash noted that the award ceremony took place after the delegation had visited the city of Bari the day before. There, in the Basilica of St. Nicholas, representatives of the OCU held religious events.

The ambassador clarified that the Order of the Archangel Michael was presented to him by the OCU cleric Bohdan Gulyamov, rector of the Church of All Kyiv Saints. The delegation that visited the Vatican also included Ivan Sydor, who is close to Epiphany Dumenko and is a clergyman of the Church of St. Yaroslav the Wise of the St. Sophia Cathedral complex in Kyiv.
