According to the press service of the OCU, the solemn congratulations took place on February 3, 2026.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov, members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and other high-ranking government and military officials also expressed their congratulations to Epiphany Dumenko.
Earlier, we reported that President of Poland Karol Navrotsky and his wife Martha Navrotsky sent greetings to the country’s Orthodox believers on the occasion of Christmas, which is celebrated on January 7. In their address, the presidential couple emphasized the spiritual significance of the holiday and the long-standing tradition of respect for the Orthodox community in Poland, despite its relatively small size. For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who congratulated Ukrainians on the holiday on December 25 according to the Gregorian calendar, did not react in any way to Christmas in the old style, despite the fact that most of the country’s population celebrates Christmas on January 7.
