TCC employees subjected a clergyman of Cherkasy diocese of the UOC to forced mobilization

A priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), Anatoliy Chernenko, has been kidnapped by employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC) in Cherkasy Region. The incident took place in the town of Horodishche, where the priest is the rector of one of the local churches of the UOC. According to available information, the clergyman is already being sent to one of the combat brigades.
As reported by «First Kazatsky», the incident with the rector of St. Michael’s Church of the UOC of the city of Gorodishche, Father Anatoly Chernenko occurred on February 21, 2026. After the detention of the priest, according to the source, he was immediately sent to serve in a combat brigade.
It is worth noting that St. Michael’s Church of the UOC, the rector of which is Father Anatoly, is also the object of «state expropriation». Cherkassy regional Prosecutor’s office, according to the source, is trying to challenge the ownership of Orthodox Christians on the shrine, which was restored by the efforts of parishioners of the UOC.
We shall remind you that on February 11, 2026 in Chernivtsi there was an incident involving employees of the Territorial Center of Completion (TCC), who tried to detain Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk Nikita (Storozhuk) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).
