Netanyahu: "We hope to wait for the coming of Meshiach"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference on March 13, 2026, that Israel must continue to fight its enemies and remain steadfast even in the face of long conflicts. According to Netanyahu, Israelis expect the coming of Meshiach, but it will not happen soon, so the state will have to endure wars and threats for its own existence. Netanyahu emphasized that the current war should change the balance of power in the Middle East and strengthen the position of Israel, which, he claimed, has already become «stronger than ever.»

Recall, earlier American journalist Tucker Carlson said that a significant number of Israeli soldiers, including American volunteers, are involved in the fighting to restore the Third Temple. Carlson backed up his claims by analyzing the patches on the uniforms of IDF soldiers, which, according to him, depict the symbol of the temple, as well as quotes from soldiers about the purpose of their participation in the conflict.
