Goloseevo Monastery of the UOC issued an order to eliminate ties with banned organizations

The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS) has issued an official instruction to the Holy Protection Holosiyivskyy Goloseyevo Monastery of the Kiev Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The decision was made following an investigation that revealed signs of the monastery’s affiliation with a foreign religious organization, the activities of which are banned on the territory of Ukraine.
According to DESS, the monastery is obliged to eliminate the revealed violations of the legislation on freedom of conscience and religious organizations. The main requirement is the termination of ties with the foreign religious center, whose activities are recognized as illegal under the current legal conditions.
According to the agency’s requirements, the monastery has a clear deadline to fulfill the order. The monastery is obliged to eliminate all identified violations until April 27, 2026. At the moment the text of the official document is available for familiarization on the resources of the specialized department.
Recall, the Zolotonosha District Prosecutor’s Office initiated a lawsuit to recognize the illegal ownership of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) to the Pokrovskiy Krasnogorskiy Nunnery, located in the village Bakayevka. The corresponding lawsuit was filed with the Economic Court of Cherkasy Region on March 17.
