TCC staff mobilized a resident of the UOC's Miletskiy monastery

A case of forced mobilization of a representative of the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been recorded in Volyn Region. Employees of the territorial center of manning (TCC) detained a resident of St. Nicholas Myletskyi monastery, Father Vlasiy, who was sent to a training center for military service after operational procedures.
According to the Telegram channel “First Cossack”. the monk was detained while performing obedience on the territory adjacent to the monastery. According to eyewitnesses, the procedure of passing the military medical commission took only about thirty minutes, after which the detainee was immediately transported to the disposal of the military department. Believers and representatives of the community regard such actions as an “act of terror” and unprecedented pressure on the monastic brotherhood.
Earlier, Ukrainian MP Ihor Guz publicly threatened to evict the brotherhood from the ancient St. Nicholas Miletsky Monastery of Volodymyr-Volyn diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Volyn. According to him, this is due to the completion of the lease of the monastery buildings and the intention to transfer the monastery to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The religious community, in turn, declares the legality of its stay and readiness to defend its rights in court.
