New monastic tonsures were performed in the Mezhyrytsky Holy Trinity Monastery

A solemn divine service was held in the Mezhyrytsky Holy Trinity Monastery of the Holy Trinity Monastery of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC, during which three residents of the monastery took monastic tonsure. The rite was performed by Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostrozh on the eve of Lazarus Saturday, April 3, 2026.

According to the press service of the Rivne diocese of the UOC, on this day monastic vows were taken by hierodeacons Eusebius and Simeon, as well as novice Vladimir. After the tonsure ceremony they received new names: Hierotheus, Sophronius and Arkhip.

In his archpastoral address, Metropolitan Pimen emphasized that the path of monasticism requires constant spiritual labor and inner struggle. «Remember that monastic life is not just a robe or a name, but a daily work on oneself, constant prayer and humility,» the Vladyka noted. The Archpastor also urged the new monks to preserve brotherly love and zeal in prayer, emphasizing that it is through these virtues that the spiritual strength of a monastic monastery grows.
