The Odessa diocese of the UOC honored the memory of the victims of the tragedy of May 2, 2014

The churches of the Odessa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have held requiem services marking the 12th anniversary of the tragic events on the Kulikovo Field. Representatives of the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church honored the memory of all those killed in the mass riots and the fire in the House of Trade Unions.
According to the press service of the Odessa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the commemorative events covered the entire region. According to the decree of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail, requiem memorial services were held in all churches and monasteries of the region. The clergy emphasized the importance of prayerful remembrance of the victims of provocations and clashes that took place in the city twelve years ago.
In particular, in the Holy Dormition Monastery of the UOC of Odessa a memorial service was held, which was led by Archbishop Viktor of Artsiz. During the service, the clergy of the monastery offered prayers to the Merciful Lord for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
