UOC Metropolitan Longin accused TCC employees of torture and abuse

Metropolitan Longin of Banchyn (UOC) made a harsh statement against the employees of the Territorial Manning Centers (TMC), accusing them of using brutal torture against his son and one of the clergymen. During his sermon, the hierarch reported cases of physical violence and inhuman treatment aimed at forcing the signing of voluntary mobilization documents.
According to the publication “Polityka Strana”, Metropolitan Longin in his speech in the Banchen monastery described in detail the incident with the detention of his son. According to the clergyman, the young man was beaten throughout the night, using bottles filled with sand and water. “These are barbarians, this is the destruction of Ukraine, genocide of the Ukrainian people,” said the metropolitan, emphasizing the scale of the arbitrariness taking place.
In addition, Longin told about the torture of one of the Bukovina priests. The TCC employees allegedly forced the cleric to dig a two-meter hole, threw him there and poured water on him until morning. The Metropolitan also mentioned the use of extremely cruel methods of influence: “Needles under the fingernails to sign that they voluntarily go to war.” The hierarch claims to have video evidence of these crimes and no longer intends to remain silent.
These accusations were made against the background of earlier information about the abduction of Archimandrite Sergius, priest of the Banchen Monastery in Chernivtsi region, by representatives of the TCC. Metropolitan Longin expressed deep indignation at the methods of work of the mobilization structures, questioning the legality of their actions.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that employees of the TCC attacked Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskyi and Kovel Volodymyr.
