TCC officers detained a hierodeacon of Pochaev Lavra at the Ukrainian border

At the Ukrainian border, employees of the Territorial Manning Center (TCC) detained 45-year-old hierodeacon of the Pochaev Lavra Olimpiy (Khrashchevskyy), who was returning to the monastery to continue his service. The clergyman is currently being held by representatives of the TCC.
According to the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ), the incident occurred on May 15 when the hierodeacon was entering the monastery from abroad. Previously, he had been in Georgia. Father Olimpi, who has certain health problems, is reportedly at the location of the TCC of Kelmentsi. The clergyman is a monastic of the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra and has spent the last six years in the mountains of Abkhazia, carrying the feat of desert life.
The purpose of the hierodeacon’s return was the Holy Spirit Skete in Pochaev, where he planned to continue his monastic service. However, on his way to the shrine he was stopped by law enforcers. Sources note that this is not the first such case: earlier in Kiev, the archimandrite of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was detained by TCC representatives. Despite the fact that monks devote their lives to prayer, their spiritual status is often ignored during mobilization activities.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that employees of the TCC attacked Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskyi and Kovel Volodymyr.
