On the fourth anniversary of the Theophany Council, solemn prayers will be held in UOC churches

on May 27, 2026, solemn services will be held in the churches and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to mark the fourth anniversary of the Council of the UOC in Theophany. On this day, clergy and laity will offer prayers for the protection of the Holy Church, the preservation of the Orthodox faith and the establishment of long-awaited peace in Ukraine.

According to the Information and Education Department of the UOC, the commemorative events will be held with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine. The corresponding official circular has already been sent to all diocesan bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to organize prayer celebrations on the ground.

The fourth anniversary of the Theophany Council is a significant date for the faithful, emphasizing the Church’s desire for spiritual unity. During the celebratory liturgies, special attention will be paid to petitions for the preservation of the purity of Orthodoxy and the strengthening of peace in the Ukrainian land, which remains a priority for the Church community.
