The International Council of Evangelical Baptist Churches has reported instances of the forced mobilization of believers in Ukraine

The International Council of Evangelical Christian-Baptist Churches (ICECB) has released an official list of 54 believers who have been forcibly conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite their religious objection to participating in military operations. The data includes information on those killed, those missing in action, and those facing persecution for their beliefs.

According to information published on , the list is divided into several categories reflecting the status of those affected: from believers who are forcibly held in military units to those who have faced direct pressure from employees of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCCs). The organization emphasizes that refusing to serve in the military on grounds of conscience in some cases results in threats of criminal prosecution and imprisonment.

The report also documents tragic consequences: it reports the deaths of two members of the community as a result of actions by TCC representatives. Representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (MSC EHB) emphasize that this situation is not an isolated incident.

It should be noted that earlier, Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), a hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, pointed out that the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations is ignoring violations of the rights of the clergy and believers of the UOC. The bishop cited the forced mobilization of UOC clergy as an example, noting that the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations seems to be turning a blind eye to what is happening.
