The SBU has ordered the blocking of the human rights website "Bogobortsy of Ukraine"

The National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Telecommunications Networks (NCU), at the request of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), ordered Internet service providers to restrict access to the website “Bogoborcy Ukrainy.” According to (SPZh), this website monitored violations of the rights of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The order to block the site was issued on September 17, 2026. According to official data, the legal basis for this decision was the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the imposition of martial law, as well as a number of provisions of the Law “On Electronic Communications.” Internet service providers are now required to temporarily restrict access to the specified website.

The “God-Fighers of Ukraine” website positioned itself as an independent human rights initiative and an archive documenting cases of pressure against believers. The platform collected hundreds of articles, organized into thematic sections such as “Church Seizures,” “Victims of Repression,” and “Persecutors.” In addition to current events coverage, the site published documents and statements from international organizations regarding the legal status of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

As a reminder, on September 12, 2024, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine issued an order, according to which the news website Raskolam.net and other online media outlets supporting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were once again blocked within Ukraine. The decision was made in response to a request from the Security Service of Ukraine and will remain in effect until the end of martial law in the country.
