The head of the OCU honored the general secretary of the Church Council of Norway

The head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, held a meeting with a delegation from the Council of Churches in Norway, led by the organization’s general secretary, Pastor Henrik Erhard Hermansen. This was reported by Pomisna.info.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the current religious and socio-political situation in Ukraine. A key topic of the conversation was “the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in ideologically justifying and supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine.”

As a token of appreciation for the solidarity and comprehensive assistance provided to the Ukrainian people, the head of the OCU presented Pastor Henrik Erhard Hermansen with the Order of Archangel Michael, Second Class.

As a reminder, the Council of Christian Churches in Sweden (Sveriges kristna råd) recently adopted an official decision to suspend the membership of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the organization.
