The Hungarian Parliament has authorized LGBT propaganda among children

The Hungarian Parliament has passed a resolution amending legislation on child protection, thereby lifting direct restrictions on the dissemination of information about LGBT relationships to minors. This step was taken to bring national legislation into line with European Union standards and requirements.
According to Euronews, lawmakers voted in favor of amendments to the 2021 law, with 139 votes in favor and 51 against. In the revised version of the bill, specific bans on promoting same-sex relationships among children were replaced with a general provision aimed at protecting minors from any content that could harm their physical, intellectual, emotional, or moral development.
The changes were made after the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that the previous restrictions, introduced by Viktor Orbán’s government, contradicted the fundamental values of the European Union. Representatives of the Fidesz party, led by Viktor Orbán, opposed the bill, expressing concerns that such actions undermine the country’s sovereignty under pressure from Brussels. For its part, the European Commission welcomed the results of the vote, emphasizing Budapest’s commitment to pan-European principles.
It should be recalled that earlier, Metropolitan Seraphim of Kifissia, a hierarch of the Church of Greece, issued a strongly worded statement in which he called modern attempts to legitimize same-sex unions a serious threat to the traditional Christian family.
