Poroshenko is accused of pressure on Zinkevich?

“It depended on Mikhail Zinkevich that a Local Church would appear in Ukraine”, the Volyn diocese of the OCU claims. This is stated in the anniversary film prepared in honor of the “Metropolitan of Volyn” in May 2021.
As the film says, we are talking about accusations against the then head of state, Petro Poroshenko, of pressure directly on Zinkevich to withdraw his candidacy at the “unification council”: “The President literally told – te fate of Ukraine, lord, depends on you.”
“It depended on him that a recognized OCU would appear in Ukraine… not only the issue of unification, but also the figure of the primate was decided at the local council. Three persons had the same chances,” the authors of the film say. “Mikhail Zinkevich withdrew his candidacy because the question arose – if he does not withdraw, then the Kyiv Patriarchate does not go to the council and then the unification will not take place,” the propaganda film says.
The authors also hint that this is “growth” and “the best times of the hierarch are ahead.”
