UOC Hierarch on the new Metropolitan of Montenegro and Primorye: Fearless Defender of Orthodoxy

The UOC congratulated the election of a new metropolitan by the Council of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the new Metropolitan of Montenegro and Primorje, Bishop Ioanniki of Budimljan-Niksic. Bishop Baryshevsky Viktor  (Kotsaba), Head of the UOC Representation to the European International Organizations, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“The bishop is known not only as a wonderful pastor, preacher, theologian, bishop and administrator, but also as a fearless defender of Orthodoxy, a denunciator of wickedness and a supporter of the canons of the Church. His courageous standing behind the shrines of the Orthodox Church in Montenegro, his confessional feat is an example for hierarchs, priests and laity.

In addition, the bishop takes a clear position on the anti-canonical actions of Fanar in Ukraine, and has repeatedly expressed his support for the UOC», writes Bishop Victor.
