"Not a word about Ukraine, but there is an interesting moment"

A personal interview with Patriarch Bartholomew, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of his deacon’s consecration and plans for the future.

The interview was recorded, obviously, before the visit to Kyiv.

Not a word about Ukraine, there is, however, an interesting point.

Sadly showing the photographs, he notes:

“With the Russian Patriarch.

With Medvedev, then President of the Russian Federation, in the Kremlin. There was a dinner in my honor.

Here is Patriarch Kirill, me, the translator and the secretary.”
