Khmelnitsky city council terminated the right to use land plots of the UOC

On Tuesday, April 4, an extraordinary session of the Khmelnitsky City Council was held, announced by Mayor Alexander Simchishin on Sunday, April 2. It is reported by the publication vsim.ua.
38 deputies gathered at the session. The deputies terminated the right to use the land plot on the territory of the Holy Intercession Cathedral.
“Now re-registration activities are underway in the temple. The priests of the OCU describe the property that belongs to the cathedral,” the message says.
Also, the deputies “terminated the right to permanent use of land plots” for 11 more such religious organizations:
— Religious organization “Church of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon.
— Religious organization «Religious community of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.»
— Religious organization «Religious community of the Temple of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.»
— Religious community «Religious community of St. Paraskeva parish of Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.»
— The religious community of the Transfiguration Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
– Religious community “Holy Intercession Church in Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church”.
— Office of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (at Svoboda, 2b).
— Office of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (at Tikhaya, 29/4).
— Religious organization «Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George’s Church in the city of Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.»
— St. John the Baptist Monastery of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
— Religious organization «Religious community of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Cherepovaya, Khmelnitsky district of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.»
It is noted that the permanent commission on urban planning, land relations and environmental protection should monitor the implementation of these decisions.
“Subsequently, these churches, according to Alexander Simchishin, may be transferred to the OCU and the right to use land plots will be transferred to new religious communities,” the message says.
