Митрополиту Павлу запретили присутствовать на заупокойном богослужении

The SSU refused to attend Metropolitan Pavel’s funeral service for the teacher and regent of the Kiev theological schools, Archimandrite Roman (Podlubnyak), which will take place on June 3, 2023 on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, lawyer Nikita Chekman said on his Telegram channel.

“The bishop very much desired to prayerfully honor the memory of Father Roman, to personally take part in his funeral. With a corresponding request, the defense turned to the investigator, but, unfortunately, was refused,” the lawyer said.

Nikita Chekman also stressed that during the entire period of the round-the-clock house arrest, Metropolitan Pavel had never violated the obligations imposed on him by the decision of the investigating judge.
