The final meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, at which His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry delivered a closing speech, the official website of the academy reports.

The Metropolitan spoke about the work of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary staff: “Today I am pleased to say such words that our theological school, its teachers, its students, its pupils have shown themselves in these difficult circumstances as real Orthodox Christians, this suggests that the process of education and teaching, that we have, it was correct.»

His Beatitude Onuphry stressed that «when the sciences are taught correctly, when the process of upbringing is carried out correctly, human spirituality improves», this «increases love for God, love for each other, teaches us to love each other, endure each other, forgive each other. Especially this is necessary when some temptations, some difficulties or obstacles are encountered on our life path.

«We thank God for what was and especially thank Him for what will be, because with us there is always only what God allows. Even if it is bitter, God allows it. From God’s hand, everything is useful: both bitter and sweet. You just need to accept with humility and gratitude and endure courageously, without turning away from Divine love, «added His Beatitude Onufry.
